The upside is that my upload speed is very similar on both devices with speed of ~4.4 Mbps. When looking under the "Wireless Network Connection Status" window, I was able to see that the speed indicated on the Vaio is marked 144.0 Mbps, where the G505s is only indicated as 72.2 Mbps. Opposed to my other laptop (Sony Vaio) from 4 years ago gets a speed of 33.14 Mbps when downloading. I just brought the Lenovo G505s and it has been working flawlessly except that it is only able to download at a rate of 15.14 Mbps.
